Day 67

I want to post crazy mushy things to my Facebook page, but I'll just post them here instead.

Oh how that boy makes me smile. Today he texted me asking if Brianna or I would like hot chocolate and brought us both one to work... then he wandered down to get a brush for the grill and met me for lunch. It's little things like that, that really mean the world to me.

Later on when I got home and began disassembly of the fish tank he came in to help me finish and helped me move my living room around, the space is so much nicer now. We had dinner and friends over and when he came in to tell me he loves my friends I couldn't have been happier. I don't think he understands just how much he does that makes me feel this could really be the perfect man for me.

He makes me smile like no other. When he stops and looks at me then smiles it's like time stands still and all that matters is the two of us. I love when he he hugs me then re-wraps his arms around me, just his hands sliding around me. I'm 110% smitten and I couldn't be happier.

Ok. End mushyness.

Day 64 - MERRY CHRISTMAS

Oh what a day. After spending the late hours of Christmas Eve at Brianna's mom's house making cookies we went home to bed. Any night spent with his arm around me is wonderful but there is something about the holiday season that makes it so much more. We got to sleep in a little then off to Jonathan's parents' house to have brunch and open gifts with the family. They really are great people. In past relationships I knew my significant other's family but was never really myself around them. I am still a little reserved but overall I am myself because I feel comfortable with them and I feel like I might just fit in.
We took an intermission to swing by and say hi to Kyle and his family then home for a nap. The family reconvene'd at the Jones Home to have dinner and play card games. I've never really been with a guy who's family gets along as well as they do. It's quite a ways down the road (although if Jonathan's nephew Noah has anything to say about it, not so far down the road) but it's great to know that I would have a sister in-law I would be able to be friends with. Past relationships I was led to dislike their siblings so this is a great change.
The Christmas run down; I got Jonathan Eric Church cds because we are going to see him in January (also his Christmas Present). He got be a beautiful necklace from Zales. I felt like a dummy when I opened it because it was so unexpected and I've never received anything like that before. It will be a piece I'll treasure forever.
I can't wait to see what the last bit of 2014 has in store for us and as we shift into a new year what great things await.

Day 63

Can you believe it's Christmas Eve? Where has the year gone?! After staying out way too late last night with Bobby, Jamie, Lynette, Kyle and Jonathan I slept in a bit today. Then started my Christmas shopping this morning. Ha! Gym with Kyle afterwards which led to a few more aching muscles in my body! Tonight I will be having dinner with Jonathan's family, I really enjoy spending time with them. I'm so nervous about his Christmas present, I really really hope he likes it and that he will be as excited as I will be. We shall see!

Day 60

Oh what a weekend! Jonathan's friend Eric graduated from the Police Academy in Lake Havasu Friday, so we drove up for that and I got to spend time getting to know his friends and their families. Eric's mom is adorable; she pulled me aside to tell me Jonathan is a good guy and then pulled him aside saying she liked me and that he had her blessing. His friend Rachel has already started making marriage jokes! Oh gosh!
Jonathan did excellent this weekend helping me with my gun show and today even ran the booth on his own! He sold more without me there so I think we could be on to something!
Kyle came in to town this afternoon and came over tonight to meet the new boyfriend and visit with our friends. We had Brianna, Scott, Bobby and Jamie along with Kyle, Jonathan and I and it was great having everyone together. I'm not used to my other half meshing so well. I absolutely love it. All I can say is I'm very very thankful for that awesome guy that loves me more than I know.

Day 53

We've been swamped between holiday stuff like family get togethers and spending time with friends and getting things ready for the upcoming gun show! Jonathan has been working hard on things just as much as I have which has been awesome!
He's been a blessing and so supportive!
I am super happy that my friends really like him. There were times in the past that I didn't get invited to just hang out because of the company I kept. The other night they not only tried getting a hold of me but also called his phone to ask us to hang out. I don't think he know what that means to me.
Anywho time to get to the post office and then to work!

Day 48

Well the kitten has come and gone! Come to find out it was my neighbors' cat! Ah well, was fun for a day or two!

In other news... Last night Jonathan and I swung by the clubhouse to pick up my clothing racks where I made small talk with a few members I hadn't seen in a while and then saw the ex which was weird as it gets and reminded me that I really don't want him in my life in general. I'm sure Jonathan and him sized each other up but otherwise it was a peaceful meet.

After that we ran into town to run some errands and HE ASKED to drop into the craft store to look at some things. He's freaking perfect! Yesterday he also took a trip out to Adair and spent 2 hours picking up shells for me to make things with. He also got to work on a few horseshoe projects. He's absolutely amazing, I couldn't ask for more.

In other OTHER news; BRIANNA IS ENGAGED! Shhh only a few of us know. So excited for her and Scotty!

Day 45

We had a great night; delicious steaks, good friends, fun stories and... a cat. Brianna and I left for 20 minutes to get mac and cheese and the boys found a kitten while we were gone. This little cutie made itself at home and I guess I got a new pet. Not sure if it's a he or she but we will find out!

Day 44

Wow. Saying good bye to someone who's literally been a part of your life since the beginning is so hard.
Tonight we had Brittany's going away party and I can honestly say I haven't cried like that in ages. She's been my right hand girl for so long it's crazy to think she won't be at work with me, I won't be watching her barrel race once a month and we won't be randomly riding bikes to get ice cream from the Peanut Patch.
The plan as of now is to go to TX in June to visit. It'll be a big group trip, I better start saving now. That trip will be a heck of one... Chances are I will not only be visiting Brittany but my sister and meeting Jonathan's family as well. Who knows TX may still be in my future.

Day 41

Work has gotten the best of me for a few days. In the evening though I've been so blessed! Jonathan came over to help on my latest projects; using shell casings in jewlery in new ways. We've got (yes I said we, not just I) a gun show in a few weeks so I'm working to get some things done up for that. I've asked a dozen times tips on how to make this happen but always got an "I don't know" or "Yeah we can try that" with no follow up. I literally asked yesterday afternoon and by the evening he was all set. I am so in love with this young man.

Day 37

Oh gosh what a weekend! Jonathan and I spent the weekend at Picacho with the twins family enjoying a little dust and sun. Our first camping experience together was awesome! Took a little side trip off roading on the way out, hit some really soft sand and he cruised over it like nothing. I feel save with him by my side :)

Day 35 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING

What a day! Jonathan had been telling me about all the baking he's been doing, and boy was it good! Laura and I went to Jonathan's parents' house and were greeted with quite the spread. We hung out with his nephews, sister and brother in law, parents, granny and his parents' neighbors as well. The meal and company were awesome. At one point I asked what I was getting myself into and Noah replied "An awesome family." I already feel like I've been welcomed as a part of their family and I'm so blessed to be. After we cleaned up and chatted a bit more we drove out to Picacho to spend time with my other family; the twins and their mom's side of the family. We did a little 4-wheeling, hung out, had round 2 of Thanksgiving and laughed a lot. It was a great day! I'm falling more and more for that sweet man and I couldn't be happier.

Day 31

After a decent work day we spent a little time together, took a nap then joined Jonathan's family at the Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival glow night, not super exciting but it was fun. Noah, one of Jonathan's nephews unintentionally made me blush, he called me "Uncle Jonathan's girlfriend or should I say future Aunt Gwynn." It was all innocent but wishful thinking. Let it be our little secret, but I sure hope he's right! Tonight marks our first month together! After the balloons we met the twins, Bailey, Scott, Michael and Wes at the taco stand and followed that with a little fireside hang out at Michael's house. Just a good day all around :)

Day 30

Oh I've been so bad! I am going to try to get back to regular posts because every day brings something great so smile about. I've started my new job and that sweet man of mine brought flowers to me to say congrats on my first day. He's so thoughtful! He is back to actively planning his bait shop which is awesome!  Tonight we went on a triple date with his best friend, her husband, my friend Laura and her blind date Zak. It was interesting to say the least. Well this girl has to work in the morning so I'm off to bed!

Day 17

This one is mostly about me. What do you do when half your world is falling apart and half is floating on a cloud? I'm so lost between these happy feelings I have emotionally and the struggles I'm having elsewhere. I feel almost like I'm not supposed to be happy, like I should feel guilty about smiling and not be enjoying things so much. I just need to start this new job and get back on track. It's gonna be a bumpy ride for a while.

Day 16

Oh that boy is wonderful. Yesterday I went car "gawking" with a co-worker and friend, Laura. Jonathan texted me asking what I was up to and I told him and gave him the details of the car she was about to test drive. He gave me some things to look for then asked if she would like him to take a look under the hood. He expressed his concerns and pointed out things I would never think to ask. We then took the pups to the park and had pizza at my house where he managed to fall asleep while Laura and I planned a double date with a friend of mine who will be working out here for a while. He's such a sweetheart. :)

Day 15

Oh what a day! I was supposed to go to PHX to get paperwork done for my new job but that has been postponed til next Tuesday. So instead once Jonathan got done working he brought Poncho over so the pups could play. We wandered around Tractor Supply and got ice cream then went home to hang out, make dinner and he stayed over with the pup. The 4 of us snuggled up and I slept great. He is so wonderful :)

Day 14

Another round of truck issues. Come to find out I needed a battery. I went to start my truck just before going to work to find it dead. My knight in shining armor showed up just in the nick of time to get me to work then picked me up after. A little time spent under the hood and a new battery in the truck and all is well. What I would do without this boy, heaven only knows!

Day 13

Boy I am spoiled! My handsome man stayed over to take me to work this morning and get to working on my truck. He brought my keys to work and said it's all fixed! But he still met me when I get off to make sure nothing would go wrong. He then asked what I wanted him to cook me for dinner. I said no, no I owe you dinner. He insisted on making something. Boy did he out do himself! Fresh guacamole made before my eyes, Carne to die for and he wouldn't let me make my plate, he served me. It was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed dinner out back in the yard. He even picked up a cherry pie for dessert. He's a keeper no doubt!

Day 12

Oh I swear if this truck gives me any more grief! I've been having trouble with my truck every other month it seems. I was scheduled to take my CCW class this morning but my truck wouldn't start. Jonathan and his dad came to take a look and began guesstimating what might be wrong and tomorrow my knight in shining armor will be taking a look at it. But for today I am driving his blazer to and from work. What a sweetheart. Falling hard, but no fear.

Day 9

Meeting your new significant other's family is normally the sort of thing wrapped with nerves. Last night I met Jonathan's parents, sister, brother in law and nieces and nephews. We attended a Trunk or Treating event at his church and passed candy to little ones. It was a fun little bonding experience and his family seems great. I can't wait to get to know them. We share another little thing in common; both of us have a nephew we share a birthday with. Just something little and silly :)

Day 11 Happy Halloween!

Not too much to report, got to pass out candy with Jonathan's family, they seem to like me which I'm happy for! We had planned to hang out with his friends but they weren't feeling good so we spent the later part of the evening at home watching the Pumpkin Chunkin! Ha!

Thursday, October 30, 2014

Day 10

I always found it funny how food and bring people together. Tonight we both took part in cooking dinner, I mastered the crock pot and the stove while he took charge of the grill so that we could have ribs and rice. It came out rather well!

Just before cooking Jonathan told me his parents liked me which means a lot to me! Then he got a phone call from his dad, his dad asking if I'd join them for Thanksgiving dinner. Naturally I accepted and look forward to it!

Jonathan only sealed how much of a sweetheart he is when he asked if I wanted him to bring me something to drink. I said a Lemon Arizona tea sounded good and I wondered why it took so long to come to my house. Well he stopped at 4 gas stations to find the right one. How I got so lucky to be this spoiled lord only knows. His kind gestures mean so much to me.

Day 8

Ever just lay around smiling and laughing with someone for hours on end? We have. Between swapping stories and telling jokes (ok and maybe sharing a few kisses too) I had a wonderful evening. Jonathan offered to help me clean out my cabinets and ended up with him attempting to consume warheads like it was cool. It made for some silly faces and more laughs. This silly sweetie has quickly stolen my heart.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Let's start at the begining...

A week ago, a young man took me out to grab a bite to eat at Pizza Hut then spent the rest of the evening telling stories, sharing laughs and looking at the stars. He softly kissed my forehead and I knew I was in for it...

The next day he met me at work for lunch. Just a few spare minutes to see each other. That evening he came over to my house and we curled up to watch a movie, just simple and fun. It was clear to see we were both hooked. So much so that he asked me to be his girl and I said yes.

Thursday evening he and I took our dogs to the park and let them play while we bonded over silly things and enjoyed seeing one another. We parted briefly then ended up back at my home for another movie and listened to music together in the dark.

Come Friday he had some family fun planned and I attended a girl's night. We were both pretty anxious to see each other the next day. So much so that late at night he decided he had to come see me. It was so sweet to just enjoy listening to the radio and giggling together.

Saturday we had plans to go out with my friends, after dinner at the Fun Factory and a little time at Whiskey Road we cut the fun short and headed home. He sure looked handsome in his button down and boots.

After work and church on Sunday we spent the evening on the living room floor making jewlery. He took an interest in my craft and oddly enough made a gorgeous set in blues and purples.

On the 7th day, mid-afternoon he showed up with a bag full of feathers to make earrings with and I don't think he could have been more adorable. We made things until the early evening, laughing and being silly. As we kissed good night just before he headed home we both whispered those 3 little words.

And that's where our love story begins...
