Day 96

Oh boy what a weekend!

For Christmas I got Jonathan tickets to see Eric Church in Phoenix. We planned our trip to go up there, I got the hotel squared away and his parents were gracious enough to rent us a car which was super helpful! We drove up Saturday morning after my way in for the United Weigh Fitness challenge.
He packed snacks of all sorts in a cooler and being the total sweetheart he is he made sure they were along the healthy lines; reduced sodium this or low fat that along with veggies and things of that nature. He is so supportive and I'm just blown away.
Once we got up there and found our hotel (totally sketchy area, oops!) We wandered over to Bass Pro and walked around followed by dinner at Fudruckers and then headed downtown to get to the concert.
Once we parked and got to the venue we people watched for a good while, he's just as bad as I am so it was awesome ha! We finally got to our nosebleed seats and the show began.
The sound from there we were was excellent and the view was honestly pretty great. The opening band, Halestorm was rock 'n roll no doubt, border line screaming but good none the less. Dwight Yokum came on next and scooted all over the stage and sang great, that old man is still kickin! Once Eric Church came on there weren't many people not on their feet. His show was beyond what I'd imagined. He did all the hits, new and old. He was all over the stage and the energy was there through the whole show. It was awesome!
After the concert we went back to our room and passed out soon after the midnight munchies. We got up Sunday morning and settled on going to the aquarium. It wasn't as awesome as I'd thought the first time around and the "new exhibit" they advertised was no where to be seen. Ah well. We ended up at Cabelas and wander there until going to grab pizza and heading home.
We got back into town late afternoon, picked up Pancho and brought him to my house to play with Tucker. Both pups were so excited to see us! We loved on them a bit then left to WalMart because Jonathan is working on his camping box. We picked up most the essentials for a camp kitchen then went back to visit with his parents a bit. His sister and nephews stopped by for a bit as well. His mom talked about the family going camping this summer and asked me about getting time off so that I could go too. I love being included and I truly feel like part of the family already.
I'm still absolutely blown away at how perfect things are, we laugh so much and enjoy each other's company no matter what were doing. I absolutely love this man.
Here's some pictures from the weekend!

Day 89

Can I just say healthy recipes are getting better?! The last week I've really been focusing on eating right and exercise, I've mostly just been adjusting meals like instead of a burger bun I had a lettuce wrap. Last night I indulged and had ribs for dinner (still watching total intake) and Jonathan suggested fresh veggies to go with it. I also mentioned making dessert and he asked if I was sure. I told him I'd seen a healthy option so we ran around the store finding all the ingredients. From that I made muffins the healthy way and oh my lanta, shut the front door! They are delicious! I see a lot of new ideas I want to try and ways to tweak these but I think they are great! Jonathan has been so supportive in my trek thus far and I'm sure it'll get even better. I'm absolutely swept away at how much my life has improved with him. I'm a very lucky girl!

Day 82

Best Girlfriend Ever Award goes to me! Last night I made chicken and dumplings which is one of his favorite meals (mine too!) We cuddled up, watched a movie and enjoyed so time to relax. He had to get up at 6 to a job so I snuck out of bed at 5am to make breakfast; biscuits and (made from scratch) elk sausage gravy! It wasn't perfect but it was good for a first try I think! He said it was good, but I think he has to say that ;)

Day 77

Oh boy, i never know quite what to expect from him... I pulled up to find him down on all fours with the dogs pretending to be excited o was home at the gate. He's crazy and I love it. Once he got up and we had our laugh he showed me he was cooking some bbq chicken, I made mash potatoes and we had fresh veggies. While he was grilling we sat in the yard talking about all sorts of things and about our trip to TX in June. He told me that every time his dad talks to his Grandma out in TX she asks about me. He told me his dad says "We like this one." You have no idea what this means to me.

Day 75

Can I just say that Jonathan is about as goofy as they come and I couldn't be more happy about that? Last night while cooking dinner I hear my phone go off with his ringtone. I turn to look at him and just laugh wondering what he may have sent since I'm less that 20 feet away. The attached is what comes through.
He's just silly sometimes and I need that. We're both adults no doubt, we both get things done and understand responsibility. But when the time allows we laugh a lot, he does goofy things to make me smile and it's wonderful. I absolutely love this man.

Day 71 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Was it the party with champaign and sparkles? Absolutely not. I worked until about 6, he met me at work for a bit then home to bundle up,  grab dinner and head to Picacho. We spent some time with Brianna, Scott, Kyle and Bobby and JonJon's friends. We eventually decided it was too cold and dropped by Jonathan's parents house to say hello to his family. We managed to make it home before midnight, curled up on the couch and waited for midnight. A wonderful kiss and a second one on my forehead and it was time for bed. Nothing too crazy but it was perfect. Here's to many more midnight kisses!
