Oh boy what a weekend!
For Christmas I got Jonathan tickets to see Eric Church in Phoenix. We planned our trip to go up there, I got the hotel squared away and his parents were gracious enough to rent us a car which was super helpful! We drove up Saturday morning after my way in for the United Weigh Fitness challenge.
He packed snacks of all sorts in a cooler and being the total sweetheart he is he made sure they were along the healthy lines; reduced sodium this or low fat that along with veggies and things of that nature. He is so supportive and I'm just blown away.
Once we got up there and found our hotel (totally sketchy area, oops!) We wandered over to Bass Pro and walked around followed by dinner at Fudruckers and then headed downtown to get to the concert.
Once we parked and got to the venue we people watched for a good while, he's just as bad as I am so it was awesome ha! We finally got to our nosebleed seats and the show began.
The sound from there we were was excellent and the view was honestly pretty great. The opening band, Halestorm was rock 'n roll no doubt, border line screaming but good none the less. Dwight Yokum came on next and scooted all over the stage and sang great, that old man is still kickin! Once Eric Church came on there weren't many people not on their feet. His show was beyond what I'd imagined. He did all the hits, new and old. He was all over the stage and the energy was there through the whole show. It was awesome!
After the concert we went back to our room and passed out soon after the midnight munchies. We got up Sunday morning and settled on going to the aquarium. It wasn't as awesome as I'd thought the first time around and the "new exhibit" they advertised was no where to be seen. Ah well. We ended up at Cabelas and wander there until going to grab pizza and heading home.
We got back into town late afternoon, picked up Pancho and brought him to my house to play with Tucker. Both pups were so excited to see us! We loved on them a bit then left to WalMart because Jonathan is working on his camping box. We picked up most the essentials for a camp kitchen then went back to visit with his parents a bit. His sister and nephews stopped by for a bit as well. His mom talked about the family going camping this summer and asked me about getting time off so that I could go too. I love being included and I truly feel like part of the family already.
I'm still absolutely blown away at how perfect things are, we laugh so much and enjoy each other's company no matter what were doing. I absolutely love this man.
Here's some pictures from the weekend!
